Their answers and the research of the Robb Report team were used to compile the third annual top affluent communities in America list. Cities were then judged based on 10 criteria, location, beauty, prestige, educational facilities, family-friendliness, cultural attractions, recreation, shopping, municipal services, safety and general well-being. The Grosse Pointes of Michigan came in at #7. With it's close proximity to Downtown Detroit,it's an easy commute to and from work.
